On the player, Double-Click the background near the controls, volume or options buttons to quickly change to Mini-Player mode.
If the Mini Player is docked to the top of your screen (right-click Mini Player > Window Settings > Top) then you can pause/unpause playback by clicking the absolute top of your screen.
